Treatment

This video will promote the solo artist Laura Marling and her song rambling man. The video includes a boy aged 17-20 years old and a girl the same age. The video portrays a nightmare which the boy has about having a heated argument with the girl who is presumably his girlfriend; we first see the boy sitting in the living room. This is the aftermath of the argument and he starts seeing flashbacks of the heated argument to show that this was a past event and he is reliving it through his thoughts. The boy leaves the house and heads to the park to clear his head but to his surprise he spots the girl and she is staring at him which seriously concerns him, he carries on walking like  he saw nothing but comes across the girl again but this time she is sitting on a bench. He starts to panic and runs, as he runs he comes across the girl on several occasions, she is haunting him and he is trying to fight through this obstacle of seemingly multiple girls; this is not the case as she is just appearing in every direction he looks. He reaches the point of giving up as he has come to realise that he cannot get away from her. But then he wakes up with a sweat and also wakes up his girlfriend who was sleeping on his shoulder, he soon realises that it was all a dream.

The video will be narrative heavy, there will be a guitarist in the video to follow convention of a music video and the video will also contain the solo artist lip syncing significant parts of the song. For the music video we will have a grey scale filter on the video to show how sinister and dark the video is, plus, this also gives the effect of a dream because dreams can be depicted to be greyscale and sometimes not clear.
